Storms, tropical systems and strong summer thunderstorms bring down trees and large limbs across Northeast Florida every year. Super Tree Services is a licensed and insured tree company based in Jacksonville with 10 years of experience. We remove fallen and storm-damaged trees, take down hanging limbs and clean up debris in Jacksonville and nearby communities within about 40 miles.
First, stay safe
- Keep people and pets away from the fallen tree and from anything it is touching.
- If a power line is down or touching the tree, stay well away, call 911 and report it to your electric utility (for example, JEA in Jacksonville). Do not let anyone touch the tree or the line.
- If someone is hurt or the home is not safe to stay in, call 911 first.
- Do not try to cut a tree that is resting on a roof or under tension. Trunks and limbs can shift or spring back when cut.
Storm damage we handle
- Trees fallen on roofs, fences, sheds, pool cages and vehicles.
- Broken or hanging limbs over driveways, walkways and roofs.
- Uprooted or newly leaning trees after high winds.
- Trees and large limbs blocking driveways and access.
- Storm debris cleanup and stump grinding once the urgent work is done.
What to tell us when you call
Your address, what the tree is resting on, whether any power lines are involved, and how a crew can reach the area. If it is safe, take a few photos from a distance and send them by text or WhatsApp to (904) 792-3244. Photos help us understand the job before we arrive.
Prepare before hurricane season
Many storm calls start with a dead limb or a weak tree that was already a problem. Removing dead branches, trimming limbs that hang over the roof and checking trees close to the house can lower the risk before the next storm. For palms, remove dead fronds but keep healthy green ones; heavy “hurricane cuts” can weaken palms. See tree & palm trimming and tree removal.

Storm damage questions
Should I call my insurance company?
If a tree damaged your home, car or other property, contact your insurance company to learn how your policy handles it. If it is safe, take photos of the damage before cleanup begins.
Can you remove a tree that is lying on my house?
Call us and describe what the tree is resting on, and send photos from a safe distance. We will discuss the safest way to remove it and what the work will include.
A tree is leaning after the storm. Is it dangerous?
A new or increasing lean, cracked soil around the roots, or cracks in the trunk deserve a professional look. Keep people away from the area it could fall on and call us to have it checked.
